Drawing – Works on Paper

Mondays
Time: 10:00 am to 3:00 pm

Classes meet once a month for a 3 month session.

Works on Paper I – September 11, 2017
An exploration of traditional drawing techniques

Works on Paper II – October 9, 2017
Experiment with contemporary approaches in the drawing process.

Works on Paper III – November 13, 2017
Enhance your drawings with mixed media on paper.

This class is for ALL levels of drawing. We will start each session with a short demo and a few experimental exercises. Participants will then work on their assigned project for the day in any medium of their choice. Instructor will provide individual assistance if needed. We will finish the session with a group discussion. Come with a positive attitude and your favorite lunch, while enjoying a few days of creative fun with your fellow artists!

Basic materials will be provided for first day, but please bring additional materials of your choice for your project.

Therapeutic Art Immersion

Tuesdays
Time: 1:30 pm to 3:30 pm

Session I: 10/10/17 – 10/25/17 (4 classes/weeks)
Session II: 11/7/17 – 11/28/17 (4 classes/weeks)

Recovering from a loss, health issue, or other stressful situation?
Let go and let art, in a non-judgmental, guided art experience class. Our group will encourage creativity and relaxation, while fostering a sense of simple joy, accomplishment, and community. Art exercises will include mixed media, collage, mandalas, pen and watercolor wash, doodling, journaling, and more!

** $10 material fee per week, all supplies are provided

Portraiture Open Studio

Tuesdays
Time: 10 am to 12pm
Starting: 9/12/17 to 12/12/17

This will be a studio where experienced artists can work in any media they choose, or where a beginner can be mentored and assisted through basic anatomy, and the geography of the face through both 2D and 3D exploration. Live models will be utilized on occasion.

Suggested donation: $5 per class


Life Art Open Studio

Saturdays
10:00am to 12:00pm
Starting 9/9/2017 thru 12/16/2017

The Open Studio is offered for everyone to practice drawing, sculpting, painting or any medium from a live model. Artist Gary Hopcraft will be on site for any instruction or advice you will need. Don’t miss this opportunity to express yourself through Life ART!

Zen Doodle – 1 Day Workshop

Tuesdays
Time: 5:30pm – 7:00pm

Session I: 9/19/17

Zen doodle drawings is a fun and relaxing way to create beautiful patterned, line drawings. This unique type of meditative art requires no previous art experience and is for beginners to advance!

Frame it, hang it, or turn it into greeting cards. The projects are endless!
The concept is easy to learn and is offered for both teens and adults.
** Supplies are included. Take one session or all three! Each session creates new patterns and drawings.
